Kinda dawned on me, water pumps don't seem to last very long in our trucks, most of the complaints I see seem to be with the 2000-2004 4.7L crowd.
Noticed they started putting lighter weight plastic fans on the 2005+ 4.7L trucks. I assume the clutch is probably different too, though the nut appears the same, as is the water pumps.
I haven't had really much time to cross reference part numbers yet, but I'll bet this is a COOL way to gain a couple ponies and keep that water pump from dying a premature death.
Anyone have any knowledge around this?
