 Subject: Brake Line Busted, Need Help

I've been losing brake fluid the last few weeks and could not find out where untill last night. I got up under my 04 Dak and had a buddy pump the brakes and found the leak all over my face and chest. The Driver's side line that runs from the Master Cyl to the rear of the truck had a pretty good hole in it. I just have a few questions for everyone. 1st, could I could swap the hard line out with a flex line? Where online can i find the brake line? Looked all over with no luck. Also does the fuel tank need to get dropped to mess with this line. Where the line is routed there is little room to work on it. Thanks in advance for all the help and as usual you guys are the best.

There's a guy parting an 02 on craigslist long
island NY. The price says 450 because he is selling
trans. His number is in the ad.
Search craigslist long island for "dodge dakota" the
price is $ 450
I spoke to him about an axle. I don't know him.

You can get new brake line from any parts store. Just bend it with your hand to kind of resemble the old one. Pretty simple. I did mine a number of years ago... the line that went over the rear axle to the back drum.
