 Subject: Cranks but wont start, sometimes

Hey all. I have a 95 Dodge Dakota with the 5.2 v8,
2wd. The truck wants to crank but won't turn over,
it happened the first time last week, I tried to
crank it, it didnt want to start, came back 30
mins later, truck started just fine.
Today, tried to start the truck, same thing, wants
to crank but wont. I will check again when I get
home this evening to see if it cranks.
Could this be a starter problem or fuel related?

It doesn't sound like a starter problem because it cranks. If it was a starter, it would either click, or do nothing. It's easier to check for spark than fuel so I would do that first.
When you say it wants to crank but wont turn over, do you mean the engine doesnt spin? Like you turn the key and the belt inside the engine compartment doesnt move? If thats the case, it could be the starter or dead battery.

1994 dakota w/318 stopped running as before
only this time it spits back thru the throttle
plate. has 150,000 on it. have replaced the crank
sensor and did the 115 splice thing. thinking timing chain?
