I need to know what is the best exhaust I should buy. I like a real throaty sound. Should I get dual, split rear, flowmaster, gibson...? Thanx!

I recommend what I have...a 3" single chamber Flowmaster (its the tiny race muffler but street legal) and dump it 8inch behind the cab. Total cost me $90.

Personally I prefer the sound of a 18-inch glass pack with 3 inch tips. I also use a 4-cylinder cat on my 318, in other words I blew the little bitty cat to peices inside. There is nothing inside it now.

I kinda like the setup i did with my truck, i had duals ran with no mufflers and then i cut my convertor out and welded a pipe in place, its not as throaty as it was with the cat on but its a whole lot louder!!

I run a flowmaster 2 chamber with a three inch pipe that goes towards the ground. Rumbles nicely through the parking lots. Sounds kind of like a 350. Humms on the freeway

if you want a REAL deep throaty sound. Do what I did yesterday for kicks. Cut off your exhaust right after the cat. Now THAT'S DEEP.

Too loud as is lol. I have to creep away from a stop sign if theres a cop nearby. Tomorrow(sat) I'll be putting on my push button exhaust cutout. So I can be real quiet when I want....as quiet as glasspacks allow...but at the push of a button I'll be open header

I went with 2" true duals running back to 18" (round Turbo II's) Comes out of the Mufflers (whatever) at 2.5" turns to 45's and 4"x18" Crome tips Looks really good and turns alot of heads. everybody is like.. Man was that coming out of that little truck.. heh.. letting the old girl breath rules
