On the way home tonight, i was feeling a little cocky after the S-10 kill(ok, so its all i got) last week so i come upon this Nissan 4x4 w/V6. I pull up next to him doing about 50mph in my 93 Dakota 4x4 w/318. I stay next to him until he hits it and we go off togeather even until the next light which I beat him to. He gets a little nose out in front of me and when the light turns green, neither of us punch it. We start of normal then hit it and just as I thought i was giving it all I had and he was slowly walking away from me, I realized what was wrong. My foot was positioned on the gas pedal so the outter edge of my right foot was hanging up on the carpet of the auto tranny hump. As i repostioned my foot and floored it doing about 45-50mph, I felt the jerk-back that told me it was wide open. Glad I left the O/D locked off. By that time he was ahead and had won the race, I guess. I bet he was flooring it the whole time.

Yeah I have a '01 R/T and find that leaving the OD off during a race gets better HP than leaving it on cuz the damn thing shifts too early unless U have a chip to modify that...but I don't so I leave it off and look out!!
