 Subject: 4 wheel drive

I went to use my 4 wheel low to go down a steep
muddy hill and when i tried to switch into 4 wheel
low the light blinked for about 30 seconds before
going back to 4 wheel high. I was stopped and in neutral before i tried to put it in 4 wheel low. I
tried to switch it back to 2 wheel drive but it
stayed in 4 high. I put it in reverse and backed
up and it finally went back to 2 wheel drive. I
put it back in neutral and switched it straight to
4 wheel low and after a few seconds it went in. I
put my truck in first gear and started going down
the hill. As i was rolling down the hill i could
tell i was in 4 low because of how the gears were
holding the truck back, but the front wheels
seemed to be clicking. I stopped and put it in 4
high and the clicking was quieter but still there.
It didn't stop until i took it out of 4 wheel
drive. Anyone know why it would be clicking? I
have an 01' 4.7L Thanks
