I bought the truck 2 days ago, When I left he said the oil was just checked and good, So I believed him, he also said the truck burns about a half a quart a week. Well Just tonight driving I hit the brakes and the dash light came and beeped and I had 0 oil pressure, So pull over, Check oil, Says I got none so I put in 2 quarts and it backs to full. I havent seen no blue smoke from exhaust even on morning starts. What do you think? Dont know if this has anything to do with it but the truck pings under acceleration in 3rd gear and sometimes 5th.

Also once yesterday the truck stalled. I tried to fire it up, Nothing, let it sit for 2 minutes and turned the key, fuel pump primed, it fired.

Then just tonight driving over an over pass. Truck totally dies, I make it look like truck is still running to other people, Roll into timmy's, Turn key off, Turn back on, fuel pump primes and truck fires and I drive back home and now im here.

Sounds like you've got a busted plenum gasket. Remove the airhat off of the throttle body then with the truck not running open the throttle and look down into the intake manifold. If oil is in there your plenum gasket is leaking. Remove the intake and repair. they do sell kits for this.

Plenum gasket. Same thing happened on mine and manuy others. The intake manifold has a pan on the bottom of it. When this gasket goes the intake sucks the oil vapor and oil into the plenum and this degrades the fuel and causes the pining predetonation. Get an intake gasket set, inch-lbs torque wrench and a manual.

Best advice I can give.
