My 01 dakota 4x4 has no power. It will barely maintain speed uphill. If I floor it, it doesnt do anything but suck the gas down. I also am throwing tps's every couple months. I have cleaned the throttle body and it didnt help anything. I just thought it would have more power than it does. My 4.6 stang will roast the tires but I literally get passed up by EVERYTHING on take off. What can be the problem? How can I get my v8 to act like a V8 and not a 4 cylinder?

My money is on a ruined or incorrectly installed TPS.
How you clean the throttle body could be part of the problem.

Well the TPS wont bolt up but one way with that positioner thing in the middle of it. And It was doing it WAYYYYYY before I ever cleaned it. I highly doubt this is an user error scenerio. Besides I followed the manual (Haynes). SOOOOO Please tell me how to install it correctly. A step by step process please.
