Subject: Radiator Fan Clutch Roar

Message:
I just replaced my radiator fan clutch. I bought it used, and now it roars very loud, which ive read on here is normal. But what ive read on here says it should only last 30secs or so but mine lasts sometimes the entire drive. Only once i ran to the store and when the engine got up to temperature it stopped but then when i got back in the car 5 mins later it did it again and lasted all the way home. Should i just buy a brand new one?

Mine worked fine but couldn't stand the sound. Went
to electric like most on here. Gained a little more
on the MPG's also.

I just bought a 2010 and am thinking of putting an electric fan plus a tranny cooler on it. The mounting for the tranny cooler is odd so aftermarket stuff seems not to fit. Plus I have not been able to find any kits for the electric fan yet.

So my question is - can you guys recommend both a electric fan and a tranny cooler for me which will mount up with no problems?

Thanks

Bought an aftermarket fan clutch and it sounded like a plane at take-off. Returned it and picked up a factory. Sounds normal. This is one of the few times, I'm glad I broke down and called the dealer.
