My 2003 Dakota keeps overheating. It has the 4.7 motor. The first time it overheated I took it into the shop and they replaced the fan clutch and it started running cool again. After a while it starting heating up again and they replaced the thermostat. This helped for a while, but once again it's overheating. It heats up mostly when I'm driving slow and idling. When I'm going 65 mph or faster it's usually fine. Also when it heats up coolant runs out the overflow sometimes. What could the problem be? And what can I do to fix it?

Yeah start with a radiator flush, its something quick and easy to do, then re-fill the system and you should be good.

Ah yes my little prodigy.....fagtoid, chirps in with his usual helpful advice.Whenever you hear the words "running hot" you get a little hopped up....settle down.. he's talking about his truck. Now run along Fagtoid and go pester kowalski.
