 Subject: shift lever replacement?

the dingy broad I just bought the truck from managed to break the plastic shift knob on the lever and now it wobbles and affects the overdrive.

will likely try some JB weld to see if that can fix it, but if that fails...

what';s involved in replacing the lever? (once the column surround is removed--without breaking it, i hope.
