 Subject: Modify Shift Points

I have an 06 Dakota with 4.7 v8 and auto transmission. The shift points are at very low rpms. How can I modify the shift points. I know nothing about doing this, so please be specific.

Your shift lever doesn't stop at "D".
You can modify the shift points this way:
Take the shift lever and put it all the way to 1. When you're satisfied the engine is revving sufficiently high, put the lever in the 2 position. After another bout of high revs, now put the lever in D and turn off O/D. After you get to about 75mph, turn O/D on.
