Do I have shocks or struts in 2000 quad cab 2wd also how hard are these to replace I have never changed one before any help whould greatly be appreciated.Thanks Chris

You have plain old hydraulic/gas shocks. Not too bad to change especially if you have access to an impact wrench(either electric or pneumatic).
2 bolts on the bottom mount to the lower control arm and the nut on the top. The nut on top is easier to remove with an impact because the shaft of the shock tends to spin and the impact will twist the nut right off that shaft.
