Another Website you can check out the 2500 HEMI supercharged is http://www.truckinweb.com/features/0302tr_hemi
They designed the Charger to be four door and look like a 2 door with the HEMI engine. And Dodge also took out another car with a HEMI engine and that is the Magnum SRT-8 which is supercharged with 450hp, and you can check it out at
www.edmunds.com/news/autoshows/articles/83141/page001.html

Sid I did it ! I found a 1500 SB RC 4X4 3:55 TRAC-LOCK HEMI AUTO P26517 on a lot and traded my Dak in. What a ROCKET !! I dont have any numbers until april 27th at the local drag strip, but my butt dyno tells me way faster than my 16.30 sec DAK. I have ordered the K&N drop-in.I have 500 mi on it and cant find anything I dont like so far.I think the truck weighs about 4850 LBS I am hoping low 15 et not bad for a 4x4.

i'm interested in getting the hemi 1500. i'm undecided on whether or not to get the 4x4. i want to lower the truck and customise it similar to the kenne bell supercharged 2500. what are your thoughts on 2wd or 4wd? i kinda like the idea of a 4wd because all 4 wheels are working. how much of a performance difference is there between the 2wd and 4wd i.e 0-60? also, any word on if/when the 6.1 hemi makes its way into the 1500? oh, and 1 more thing, whats the difference between the 3.55 axle and the 3.92 axle? any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Al,
I like 4wd for traction purposes, but you will be adding a lot of weight to your truck. Unless you plan on doing a lot of racing on wet pavement or mud I think you should stick with rear wheel drive. The $1,500-2,500.00 you'll save in cash will pay for a trick ladder bar multi-link rear suspension with air bags. You can tune this for hooking up and improve ride quality and improve payload capacity all at the same time. It is fun having an advantage over everyone when the weather gets bad. I know, I had a 4wd X-cab Dak V8. I got rid of it for a 2wd because in the 2 years I owned the truck I took it off road one time.

Many ponies will be lost in the transfer case if you go with the 4x4 along with a samll sacrafice of fuel economy.
If you can go with the 2WD with a standard this will give you optimum torq/HP.
A low stall torque converter on a automatic vs a stick is no comparison, however shifting inconsistancies will alter your track times drastically.
What is the main purpose of this truck you want?
Off roading, street domination, or the occasional tire ripping daily driver carrying the odd load junk to the nearest dump.

to brandon , I have some tips for you , I made my own cai , to start out with I removed the factory box completely , put a 4" spiral max in the black box uplugging the - terminal for a half hour , then I bought a 4" into three inch round rubber extender from the hardware store with two clamps, bought some 100 mph tape to rap around the end of the black box where your factory S shaped hose would go so my 4" into 3" rubber extender would fit tight and tighten down snuggly, them I cut a 3" pvc pipe 10" long and stuck it inside the 3" Hole in the extender, then 3 inch 90 degree elbow and attached it to my pvc pipe and then added my kandn filter to the end of the elbow and tightened it down , put a piece of thick rubber underneath the kandn fiter to snug it down ,( kandn filter (9 inch cone shaped by 6 " round and 4 inch end which I had bought from martel brother for 46$ ,then I bought some isultaion and wrapped around the radiator fluid holder or dispenser so the heat wouldn't go inside my kandn fliter , then looked around the garage for something where I could keep any hot air from reching my kandn filter so I took an average size plastic dust pan and broke the bandle off and took a note book binder and cut one half of the binder off and taped it to my dust pan and draped it down along side facing the fan , boy talk about a cold air induction kit that the cheapest best one I haved ever had and that mixed in with the 4" round spiral max gives me with the overdrive off at 30mph and romping into it will literally throw you back in the seat and if your sitting in the passenger seat it will almost snap your neck , oh yeah I also have cat back system with 3" tip and dynomax muffler I also want to tell you that at 2000 rpms with this setup if you have 3.55 rearend you will notice you will be going 75 mph instead of 68 mph can't explain why I just go with the flow' I get 6.5 sec 0-60 and 14.50 @ 97 mph in the quarter you will also notice your gas mileage go up around 4 miles the the gallon , I use 92 octane with octane booster

brandon I also wrapped tin foil tape around my pvc pipe to disapate heat and to dress it up so it looks cool , also if you would like to see what your car is getting for horse power go to speedworldmotorplex.com/calc , want you find it plug in your tire size and get your tire diameter and then go down to the box where it says calculate mph to for rpm range and put in your tire diameter and overall gear ratio which is any where from 2.40 to 2.66 , for some reason when I added the spiral max my overall gear ratio fell from 2.66 to 2.40 which you will find out at 2000 rpms for tire diameter of 30.5 which is 245/70/17 and a gear ratio of 2.40 will give you 75 mph at 2000 rpms weird but I have the proof and very happy of it the truck itself , can't wait till the jet chip comes out and I found out another 9hp to the engine (royal purple oil) which I am ordering today , horse power tv and hot rod tv claims 9 and 10 horse power claims on their dyno .
