I am doing a fluid and filter change on my '93 Dodge Dakota 4x4 with the 5.2 liter V8 (auto trans).
I have the tranny pan loose but cannot remove it from underneath as it is hitting the exhaust...Is there a way to remove the pan without removong that down pipe from the exhuast manifoolds?

I had the same problem on a 94, found the pipe had been bent by running over some debris on the freeway. I finally thought to pull the dipstick out and managed to wiggle the pan out.
