 Subject: P0586 and door locks

Driving a 2003 SLT, 4.7 2WD and have two apparently seperate problems - 1) doors will unlock with key fob and also using any door locks, but fob nor door controls will lock anything - exterior light flash and horn when using key fob, but doors do not lock. 2) Cruise control will not stay enabled - turn on cruise but display on IP will stay lighted for 1 second then disappears. Not on long enough for me to set cruise speed. while pickup still running, second attempt to engage cruise will not display cruise on IP. Cruise will not "flash" again until pickup has been restarted.
Any help, thoughts, or sugeestions welcomed.

Most likely the Central Timer Module is bad. Both the keyless entry system and the cruise are monitored and controlled through the CTM. To be certain, you have to have the truck scanned with the DRB diagnostic tool at the Dodge dealer.
