Subject: 4wheel drive problem

I just put a 600$ transfer case in i didnt need & i cant figure this truck out! when i put it in 4 wheel (hi or low) & try to turn going slow something is binding. its like a poping & snapping noise.ive changed both front bearings,then both front shafts & now trans case & it still does it.any help would be welcomed. thanks,chazman

That's normal 4x4 characteristics.
The inside wheels are travelling a smaller circle than the outside wheels, hence the binding. 4WD (hi or low) is for low traction situations like mud, gravel, snow, ice, etc. If you engage 4x4 on dry pavement, you will eventually break something.

1990 sport RC SB, 1995 318drivetrain, 3.92 gears (came with truck) Powertrax "traction system", 95 dash/steering wheel, hearthrob exhaust, headers, cutout after y-pipe, necessary electric fan add-a-leafs, 30x9.5 mud tires, cranked T-bars, AR 39 15x8 rims, grill guard, roll bars

THANKS 4 THE INFO GUYS.BUT THINK ALREADY BROKE SOMETHING BUT NO I DONT 4WD ON PAVEMENT.IT ONLY BINDED VERY VERY MINIMAL WHEN BAUGHT IT 2 YRS AGO. MY WIFE HAS SAME YEAR SAME ENG DURANGO & IT DOESNT EVEN MAKE SO MUCH AS A PEEP.WHAT ELSE COUD IT B?MAYB THE FRNT PROPELLER SHAFT? & HOW HARD IS IT TO CHANG THAT ONE END? YOKE CENTERING REPAIR KIT ?
