recently my dak began running rough and missing after being on the freeway or on a lot of hills after only about 10 miles or so. I think i might be heat related as i noticed it tends to occur after its heated to operation temp, and then the gauge will go past halfway (a friend in 120 degree vegas heat said his never goes past half). I think it might be goofing something in the electrical as recently i had to have the crank position sensor cable replaced after it melted and caused the engine not to start (the sensor was brand new as well). This is only a guess though as my fuel pump seems to be whining (stopped a little while after i replaced the fuel filter, but began only about 200 mi later). I also pulled codes 12 11 27 54 55 indicating there is signal issues w/ the crank and or cam sensor and a fuel injector isnt behaving nicely. I also think my fan clutch is shot as it is continuously runs (but i would think that would just keep it that much cooler?)
I've also considered the possibility of a sticky valve/broken valve/bad valve spring and possibly bad timing chain... but honestly i dont know where to start as this could get very expensive and time consuming.
any help would be appreciated, thanks
