My truck started to overheat yesterday when sitting at a stoplight. It cooled off again once I started moving. Also, my fan doesn't work to blow air for the heater/AC. Thermostat? Blower motor resistor?

Engine fan is not working obviously. Need more info on the interior blower. If the resistor is bad it will work on high only.

ah there you are shadow. your diagnosis is flawed.

ducks, first you should check for voltage at the radiator fan when demand is there for it to be on. if no voltage then check the fuse then relay. post back with your results.

Just got back from a road trip, and I see nothing's changed here.

It's so easy to tell the real daddio from the faker, though.
The real daddio writes with authority.
The fake one writes like Texas Todd.

Took to dealer(Quit laughing). They wanted $250+ for the blower resistor and resistor wiring harness. Told them to get bent. Had them replace the thermostat which fixed the overheating. I've seen posts here for replacing the blower resistor but no good diagrams/pictures. Any idea where I can find any?

what year is your truck? yeah that's a little steep considering you can but the resistor pack for about 13 bucks and will probably take all of 15 minutes to replace. i'll dig around for info on the location. on GenII trucks, '96-'04 i think it's under the dash behind the glovebox. fortunately mine hasn't crapped out yet.
