Does anyone in here run the 87 octane setting on superchips? I have an 02 QC 4x4 3.55 LSD auto. I received my superships friday and installed the 87 program.

Has anyone noticed any fuel economy improvements?

I've noticed firmer shifts, doesn't rev as high when I punch it and seems to be less power. All are cool if I am going to get improved fuel economy.

I have drive 120 miles and used a little over 1/4 tank. I went fishing at a local WMA and it required 40 minutes of driving at < 15 mph. It's been a few months since I made that trip, but I recall getting worst mpg then vs last night.

I'm waiting until I fill up to calculate fuel economy.

I'm still on my quest to get 20mpg.. winter I average 14.5 and summer I average around 16.

Dan M. we have Identical trucks and I have the programmer in mine on the 87 oct. program. I have not noticed much in mileage, but then I only travel 3 miles to work and that kills any mileage improvement I might get. But when I do go on trips to my daughters soccer tournaments of over 100 miles or so I have gotten 22mpg. Thats the best I have ever got. as far as other improvements, I have noticed better "firmer" shifts also, maybe a little more get-up-an-go but not much else..

It's almost time for my first fill-up where I've driven on-payment only.

I also recalibrated my speedo and now it's working properly.

I posted earlier about it being off 5 MPH, i corrected it for the tire height (I have optional tire - 265/75/16). I bought it used from a dealer with that tire, so I'm assuming it's always been wrong.

I tested it with my avenger and now they are both close to each other (maybe 1 mph difference) and they were about 5 mph different.
