Just a quick question to save me from crawling in a puddle under
my truck today:
I'm changing my oil on my 2000 4.7L for the first time tomorrow.
What size socket do I need to pull the drain plug out?

Either 13, 14 or 15mm. You have to try them to see which one fits.
You're gonna crawl into the puddle to remove the drain plug anyway.
