i have a 2001 r/t. i was thinking of getting a flowmaster muffler and trying to customize it to come out in front of the tire. i want it to be loud. any body try anything like this trying to save some dough. also try and get rid of a cat or so.

look into spintech, they make a side exit system for dakotas. it comes out in front of the rear tire like the lightning.

If you want it loud then just have them dump it before the axle. Cheap and clean.
I used to have a flo 50 dumped and it was loud.

and another thing my performance sucked with the dumped flowmaster, I now have a dumped magnaflow, pretty much the same volume but better sound and much better performance.

i have a ravin muffler dumped. its just as loud as a flowmaster but it has a much deeper tone.

Im thinkin about throwing the MBRP split rear on my dak. Not an r/t, but the "cuda" style would look good.

i will be putting the MBRP cuda style exhaust on my RT. they make them an hour from where i live. i will post up my thoughts on it once its done in about a month.

A friend of mine in Canada was making fun of the place they make the MBRP exhausts calling it a sh!t-hole and such, I have no idea being as I am not in Canada, so is it??

never been there yet, but i will let you know. as long as the product they produce is of top quality, i dont care if some guy makes them in his basement. gotta start out somewhere i guess.

Pull the cats, dump 2 40 series, and you'll be loud as hell... plus theres nothing better then pulling up to a wimpy 4 cylinder and giving them an ear full!!!! plus it runs good with em'.

Haha yeah pull the cats and see if you will pass smog. You gotta consider that crap... if I had it my way i would make it as loud as possible. Go with an MBRP cat back system and you will be happy.
