Message: I am about to buy a 92 dodge dakota 5.2L 4X4 4spd auto with 156K mi and have some questions i hope someone can help with. The truck had the transmission replaced with one from a 94 jeep grand cherokee. The truck starts in any gear (nuetral safety switch) and will not shift into OD (VSS?) Is this the right transmission? It shifted when it was taken out of the jeep but now no OD. Someone please help!
