i've got and 01 dak 4x4 with the 4.7L its burnin about a quart of oil a week and im hearin some valve clutter. could it be a intake manifold gasket?

I doubt it. NOw I see why you were curious about the M1 on another post.
The 4.7's intake is sealed sith O-rings. If it were leaking, there would be no increased oil consumption, but the idle would be off.
