Subject: 2000 4.7 liter PCV valve

Message:
Just wanted to pass on some info.

Went to replace my PCV valve today, bought one at Autozone.

The pcv valve is connected to the oil filler tube and when installed, sits on an angle, not vertical.

When examining the internals of the valve, it looks like it would not seat well because of being on an angle. Actually tested it also.

Went to the Dodge dealership and took a look at another pcv valve, different internals and would seat better when on an angle.

Not sure what would effect the pcv valve has if not seated, but something owners might want to consider when replacing their pcv valve. It this case the dealer part looks the way to go.
