hey guys this problem has happend three times now. The problem is sometimes when i go to 80 the rpms are at 3 and half and its not switchin into higher gear. Is this the overdrive slipping? and should i get a tranny guy to look at it? I also have a problem sometimes when i dont fully stop the truck and go into reverse it makes a clicking noise. thanks guys any info would be great

I'd have some trans. tech look at it for the symptom of the O/D at 80.
That clicking noise your hearing is common in these trucks. I'm on my third Dakota and had that problem with all three when going into reverse. I went to the dealer to ask about it since one truck was brand new. The Dodge mechanic said it's not an issue, it's the way they were manufactured.

You don't stop before going into reverse and you wonder why there might be a problem?
