 Subject: Venom 400 + Hypertech

Hi guys, I've tuned my trucks cpu (97 5.2L) with Hypertechs power programmer III and I've been doing some reading online and noticed that the Venom 400 chip claims to further improve performance, even when combined with a tuned cpu. Can anyone either confirm or deny this claim?

I got the Venom 400 for my 94 and i already have a hypertech and when i hooked up the venom my truck didnt like it,at first it sputtered and kicked out black smoke,then i drove it for a few miles to see if the computer could figure it out but when i stopped the truck it stalled out so i disconnected it and i think i will put it on my 98 and see what happens,who knows maybe you have to hook it up and take the truck on the freeway for 10 or 20 miles to let the computer adjust i dont know,i think i will go roller rockers instead.
