I'm keeping a close eye on the upcoming 2008 Daks with the updated 4.7. The truck is due to start production early next month and I'm anxious to read the reviews. I've seen mixed reports but it looks like the horsepower will be either 290 or 302. I had a 2000 reg. cab 4.7 and it was a blast to drive, but the current generation seems to have slowed down a great deal. How much does a new, 2wd, extended cab Dak weigh? If this new Dak can run as well as my old '00 did, I'll be all over it.

It's going to need the extra HP. GenIV Club Cabs weigh 4250 LBS+.
