anyone know of any engine mods i can do to a 1991 5.2 v8 to get more power. i know that the 91s had far less power then 92+ v8 daks. are any parts interchangable between the 91 and 92+ v8's so i could make a 91 5.2 more similar to a 92+ 5.2

The 91 Dakota is odd year for the truck. Visually the body and interior are the same but engines are much different. The 91 has the pre-magnum TBI motor and 92+ have the magnum motor. The motor will still respond to basic mods. I had a custom cat-back exhaust made for mine and I made a cold air intake. Jet makes a computer module for the truck while some say they are junk it seemed to work well on my 91. I also removed the clutch fan and installed a flex-a-lite black magic fan. These mods made mine a little more fun to drive. Of course I finally removed the TBI and switched over to a carb then I totally got out of control with the motor mods LOL. Good luck with the truck and let me know if I can give you any more info.

Depends on how far you want to go. Parts interchange won't be an easy deal since the '92 is a Magnum. Your block may have the crank sensor pad at the rear of the block to allow mounting of the crank sensor (Magnum block was phased into production in '91) If so, that makes a full Magnum conversion a snap. If not, using the production Magnum setup is a bit more problematic, but not impossible. Heads, intake, ignition, exhaust, fuel system. So how far ya wanna go?

I do have a few pics of the intake. Give me a email address and I'll get them to you. The Jet module seemed to make a difference by seat of the pants but I can't speak of the actual difference.
