My truck did not come with an external tyranny cooler, any suggestions on a brand and tips to install would be greatly appreciated.

There are many choices; depends on what you want to spend.

The easiest and most reliable is to go down to the bone yard and get all the parts you need from a wrecked truck. Getting a used cooler does come with some risk, though. Be sure to clean it well. Personally, I would install only a new cooler, nothing used. But lots of people would get a used one and don't have any problems. By removing all the parts from the old truck yourself, you'll have all the tubes, bolts, brackets, etc, and you'll know where everything goes. Take your digital camera.

If that's not to your liking, my second choice would be to use a Mocal cooler, AN lines and fittings, and fab some steel brackets. You'll have to get creative about location and brackets.

Finally, there's the simple and cheap route. Stop by Pep Boys and buy a Be Cool (or similar) kit. Includes all the parts and instructions. It's cheap, and you get what you pay for. That would not be my choice, but it's better than nothing.

They are pretty much universal fit. What you need to
do is figure what weight your hauling as to what
size cooler you'll need.
