 Subject: Fuel Pump?

Hey guys, I have a 99 4x4 with 5.2 The past few weeks I,ve been hearing a clicking sound coming from behind the cab and under the bed. It only happens when I step on the throttle hard. As soon as I let up on the throttle it stops. I'm thinking it's the fuel pump but the truck is runnin fine. Has anyone ever had this type of thing happen to there ride. I don't want to go thur the trouble of pulling out the fuel pump if it's something else. Any help on this one would be GREAT.
