Is $46. excessive cost to have a mech shoot two cans of freon in a vehicle ac..?
I had a shop install a new ac compressor at the end of last season, and it only blew cool for q short while. Took it back in a few days ago to tell them, and they shot 2 cans of juice in, said "let's see how long this holds", and charged me $46.. Seems a bit steep to me, but what say ya'll..?

go down to your local wallymart, price out how much 2 cans of refrigerant plus a charge kit would cost you, then decide on your own if $46 was too much for your mech to charge you. could you have done it yourself cheaper? probably...
