 Subject: Trouble Code P0303

Any help here? My MIL (malfunction indicator light) came on 2 days ago (on my 2001 dakota 4.7 V-8)(less than 6,000 miles on the odometer) and the DTC came up as P0303 (which indicates a possible misfire on cylinder #3). Took the truck to my Chrysler dealer today and they "fixed it" by "flashing the PCM". Well, sure enough, a 1/2 hour after getting the truck back the light came on again. I dropped it off at the dealer's again tonight and told them to "guess again". Well, I wasn't that blunt (but I sure felt like it). Hopefully, they'll "try" some other "method" to correct the problem. Anyone have any difficulties with this diagnostic trouble code (P0303)? Thanks.

I got code 0308 last November when my truck had gone 6,500 miles. Like yours, there was a misfire, except mine was in cylinder 8. My dealer had the truck for about an hour when they figured out I had a clogged fuel injector, which was causing the misfire. They changed the injector and the spark plug. No problems, and I'm up to 15K now. Hope this helps.
