I currently have a 94 magV6 2X4 5spd and want to drop a SERIOUS 318 in it, change the trans and rear end. I am going for about 350-450hp/400-450 Torque w/supercharger mabey nitrous. What would be the best block for me? Magnum or stock. Also does anyone have any eng combos they have tried and what kind of HP/ Torque did they put out?

Magnum is stock 1992 and up. The stock blocks 1968 and up handle 400hp at 6,000rpm, no problem, but with superchargers/nitrous, you have to be careful with stock cast pistons. If power is your goal, a 360 Magnum would be that much easier at essentially the same cost. However, neither engine needs nitrous or a blower to hit your power goals.

What kind of changes would I have to make to the eng bay? eg;Motor mounts, Exhaust manifold clearance? Because I know that the 318 will sit right into the bay with no changes.

If you're using a Magnum V8 block, the same engine mounts will fit. External dimensions on the 360 Magnum are the same as the Magnum 318, as are all the mounting points. No special mods.

GOOD! Does anyone have a eng combos that worked good for them or even ones that didnt? My brother has a 01 Dakota RT and I really want to smoke his ass in the 1/4 with a 94.

Are there any roots type superchargers for the 360. All I ever see is the Centrifugal kits.

LOL my 1996 will match a 2001 R/T with the 318 Magnum almost stock. The 2001 is heavier.

Yeah, I know that the R/T 360's dont "breathe" as much as they need too. But I have a 3.8 not a 5.2. Plus he did a few mods to his R/T as he is a Chrysler shop mechanic and has all of the tools to do it.

Jim, not sure what you mean specifically, but yeah, whatever you see being done with Magnums has already been done on LA's, and the newer stroker kits work as well.

Looking for some simple advice: Just picked up a 04' Dakota Q-Cab, 4.7, Auto. 29K. Other than an oil change and new wipers what else do you recommend that I replace or change? the truck was used for light duty and no off road.
