Is there any way to pull codes from a 99 dakota??. Or do i need to have a scanner to pull them out.

not sure if you can display them on a '99. on my '00, you can do the key on/oof 3 times thing.

you can always run down to your local Autozone and they do it for free.

Did you leave igniton on after the 3rd time? Go like this; starting with it off,on,off,on,off, then on and you should get a P***** if you have any codes. It`ll show up in your odometer area. Is your odo digital or analog? It prolly won`t do anything if you have the analog style odo.

That trick is for '00 and up, that's why it won't work in a '99.

Actually i borrowed a friends scanner and pulled the code. Found it to be Low voltage o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2
