Everyones got posts about every type of exhaust, as I have posted one myself, but im looking for a simple yes or no answer.. Please :) Is the MBRP cat back split rear with the $$? Sound wise, and performance wise, I want to keep my low end torqe as well as increase in the high end. Is this system what I want to spend the $$ on? Thanks!

Nicholas, most of the loss of low end torque that some Dak owners complain about immediately after installing a cat-back, can be cured by resetting the PCM and giving it about 200 miles to "re-learn".

I've installed a Gibson cat-back on a friend's 4.7 auto trannied Quadcab, with 3.55 gears, and it felt as if it gained off-idle power, not lost it.

I can't see the MBRP really being much different.

Inhook your negative batery terminal for a few seconds. Up to 30 sec. for partial wipe, over for full i believe.

Disconnect the negative cable from the battery (10 mm head), turn the ignition key to the start position, as if you're trying to crank it, hold it for a 20 count, turn it back to the "off" position, then, reconnect the negative cable, and drive it the way you normally do (yes, punch it once in a while!).

It should re-learn within 200 miles or so.

Do it right after you install the catback.
