If it,s a 5.2 or 5.9 remove the factory fan and replace it with a Black Magic 150 ,this is good for 2mpg and add 5-7 hp on a 5.2 , costs about $200.The best thing you can do is to use less presure on the go flipper , but that is no fun.My 5.2 gets between 5 and 23 mpg but I have fun at 5mpg.

Lots of threads on this topic.
Improve air in with cleaned up throttle body, cold air intake kit, M1 intake.
Improve air out with a 3" cat-back and low back pressure muffler
Add toneau cover.
Might return 5+ MPG or more depending on your driving style and type of driving.
You'll spend a grand to fifteen hundred [+/-], but your performance and MGP should improve.
Then the challenge will be to keep out of the throttle, because it'll be so much more fun to drive!
Happy motoring!
Oh yeah, don't forget a 180 degree t-stat and AUTOLITES,...D

I've decided to improve my milage by becoming gay. That way, I'll simply float two feet off the ground, and propel myself with a swivel-wristed paddling motion.

PS: From now on, please refer to me as 'Justine'.

Justine might enjoy that RAM air, he can put it up his ass and blow.

That should be good for some horsepower.

The best way to improve your gas mileage is to put bigger tires on your truck, never tune it up, put 25 40kg bags of dirt in the box, add a class III hitch and pull a trailer with you everywhere you go. I find I get the best mileage this way. Oh...and the most important thing, look in your driveway...BECAUSE YOU BOUGHT A KICK @SS DODGE TRUCK! not a Kia
