 Subject: Engine Control Light

I have a 2002 4.7 with about 2600 miles on it. the engine control/Malfunction Indicator Light came on. It is on solid, no blinking. Engine seems to be running fine. Any ideas, or do I have to take it into a dealer to figure out what's wrong?

Odds its probably a result from a leak detected in your evap. sys. (loose fuel cap during one drive cycle?) Had same situation with my 02 QC 4X4 5.9 at 2k miles on it and I never had left my cap loose or off! Dealer checked it out, cleared code and found nothing. It happened twice in one month. I have 6k on it now and has not happened yet. So far.
