my 95 dakota's gas gage seems to bounce back and forth slowly going down. it always goes back up but never is as high. i know that it is a gas guzzler anyway but thats too extreem. if it sits for a while it will go back up to normal but as soon as i start moving again it will bounce. any ideas?

Keep the tank topped off, and see if you get the same needle fluctuations.

Being a 1995, the sending unit is probably going bad.
It is part of the fuel pump located in the gas tank.
To replace, remove the bed.
