I have a 99 Dakota. 2WD, 6 Cyl, 5spd. 96,000 km's (55,000miles).
Recently my Dakota has had some what seems like hesitation problems. After shifting from 1st to 2nd gear the truck seems to hesitate when you push on the accelerator. It only does this at that time.
If I were to take off in 2nd gear it sometimes does this and sometimes does not do this.
I had my truck into my garage, they put it on their computer, but found no error codes. They did a fuel system flush. But it still does the same thing.
My garage said that I will have to go to the dealer and get them to put it on their computer and see what it says.
I guess I am just trying to get out of paying $65 for them do do 10 minutes of work. As they charge for a full hour when they put your vehicle on the computer.
Anybody have any suggestions as to what I could do or what may be the ailment of my Dakota?
