'00 3.9 5spd QC, 3.55 open rear.when i hit the throttle there seems to be like a 1/2 second delay 'til the engine revs. mods are as follows:
v8 tb, set TPS @ .76(checked TPS seems to be fine), BG cap & rotor, opened stock air box, 180 t-stat, removed clutch fan, turbo muff, crank sensor mod. pulls WAY better than stock and runs great. just don't like that time lag. any ideas?

New Injectors to go with that v8 TB, hi flow intake and exhaust. Changed the fuel filter lately? What about a tired ignition coil? Bigger ignition wires and bigger gap on the plugs should help too.

truck only has 36,000 miles on it. changed plugs w/ cap & rotor Bosch plat's gapped @ .045. not the fuel filter. like i said earlier the truck runs perfect, no miss, silky smooth idle, gets 21mpg on the highway, great power(for a 3.9). maybe i'll try to reset the TPS to a lower voltage.
anyone else?

Wouldn't you want to set the tps to a higher voltage, like more on the lines of .8something for better out of the hole acceleration instead of lowering it...

Because if lowering to .6 or .7 something helps, I may set mine back a little lower... Mine is currently set to .83 volts...

I wonder if your TPS could have a bad spot on it. I would turn the key-on, don't start the truck and connect a digital voltmeter to the center connector of the TPS and slowly open the throttle and see if the voltage rises smoothly as you open the throttle. If the reading is erratic as you open it up you may need to replace the TPS. IF that doesn't work it sounds like it may be time to check the system out with a scan tool-Good Luck.
