Check Auto Shutdown Relay in fusebox under hood
and wiring to it - also check harness from there back to firewall = find a splice of 3 or 4 wires
redo - solder and tape or at least a better
union splice connector

it could be the coil going south, i heard the accell coils can be buggy...
try and wire the coil up to another 12v source. if that dosent help, its time for another coil....

I ran into a similar problem on a 89 4x4.I replaced the coil, rotor button, and saftey relay with no luck. After ckecking the fuel pump for voltage I pulled the tank and found the terminals on the tank plug corroded(the ground)I don't know what this has to do with the ignition but when I put it back together it worked. I had also run a new wire from the relay to the pump, that didn,t workbecause the ignition system must be fed from this wire somewhere down steram from the relay. That is my story but it might be worth checking the plug on the tank for corrosion.
