 Subject: hood latch relocation

For the people with billet grills and ss grills, how did you relocate your hood latch? or is it possible to leave it where it is? I thought I read somewhere and I also believe that an extension must be added. I was think take off the latch get a piece of metal that is long enough to run horizontal down the middle of the grill so you can pop the hood from the bottom of the grill.

it comes with a little metal hook shaped thing that attaches to your hood latch. that "hook" then hangs down so you can pull it to unlatch you hood....but
....in the state of texas you will not pass inspection with that thing on (unless the garage is full of morons) because it keeps you from being able to pop open your hood quickly.
found that out from a dakota rt that was for sale at a local dealership. the rt had one on and later it was removed and i asked why.
man that was one sweet rt, too.....purple, clubcab, brand new nittos, exhaust exit like a viper and so on.....almost bought it too.....but it reaked of smoke and the dealer couldn't get rid of the smell.

:P, my friend works at a garage and he just gets the stickers and puts them on, so I don't have to worry too much.
