I was driveing home last night on the interstate and had to brake hard for the trafic ahead of me and BAM I got naild from behind. My bumper is a mess and I cannot close my gate. My box looks ok but he hit me hard enugh to push my box into my cab and put some dings and chips into it. The guy has a 21 day temp on his car and the trooper did not write down any of his insurance info on the sheet that I have. So now I have to try to hunt this guy down and get his info so I can turn it into his insurance! The more I think of this more pissed I get!!!!!!!

yup I know that it is his fault. Got my first quote frome the body shop today. $2921.46 My baby will be getten new paint job from the back of the cab all the way back. And to the A-hole that is to chicken to put your name on your post, the car right ahead of me slamed on his beaks so hard and fast that I had to slam on mine. I had left plenty of room between me and him it was the guy behind me that did not.

if from the cab back will b gettign repainted i would save up alittle more $$ and get the entire thing done. u dont want the bed and rear of the cab to look much better then the front do ya? maybe u should get a roll pan 2 :)

if you leave enough room between you and the guy in front of you to allow the moron behind you enough TIME to get off the go and on the slow, you don't have to put up with your ride gettin slammed and then the inconveinience of havin it in the shop being fixed. I DON"T GIVE A HOOT as to who's fault it is, if ya get hit from behind, YA STILL GOTTA PUT UP WITH IT BEIN IN THE SHOP.
IT IS STILL CALLED DEFENSIVE DRIVING when you look out for the other guy, even tho the other guy got the ticket, if YOU werent so close to the guy in front of you when HE HIT THE SLOWS you would not have had your BABY arse slammed. Tell the truth, did you allow a truck legnth for every 10 mph you were going on the interstate? at 65 mph that computes out to more then 150 feet between you and the guy in front of you. betcha was more like 30 feet off his hind end and the guy that hit you was no more then 40 from you when it all started. so from that perspective you are at least partialy at fault.

hey josh and hey luke were only suggesting a little defensive driving. He was only stating that the accident could of probably been prevented if he wasnt so close to the vehicle in front of him and allowing him more time to stop and not slamming on the brakes.... geez...anybody ever take driver's education?

I am going to keep my comments to my self untill after insurance gets done with the deal, All I am saying is I had PLENTY of space in front of me! I have already called the state troopers office and they said it will be 21 days untill the report is finnished and then I should have the guys insurance info.

Cops in your state don't document the drivers license info on the accident reports? In today's day and age the insurance co's get the report as fast as a claimant. Rest assured Luke: Following too close like the guy that hit you is always the guys fault who was driving the car in the rear.
Remember Innocent till proven guilty...tell that to the agent/adjustor.
