 Subject: truck won't run!!

Yesterday morning, I was doing some errands, and the truck ran just fine. At about noon, I went to start it for the 4th time of the day, and it fired up, ran really rough, and died. Pushing the gas pedal had NO effect whatsoever...but I only had 160 miles on that tank of gas, so I can't imagine it's empty. Of course, I have no real idea how much gas I have, as the sending unit has been bad for over a year. At any rate, I'd like to know what some of the more mechanically inclined folks here think.

You might want to try a little gas just to make sure ?
Possible fuel pump fail ?
can " carefully " check for pressure at fuel rails
Spark ok ??

Also possible - Auto Shutdown Relay problem
or wiring to it ( in fusebox under hood )
While you are checking that - check wiring harness
from there back to firewall - should see a splice
of 3 or 4 wires = probable poor = redo - solder
and tape or better union connector..
