I just got my transmission work on. It runs fine for about hour. Then it does won't to go out of 2nd gear. From 1st to 2nd is good. But to 2nd to 3rd is a problem. I'll let off the gas then back on. It's works some times. But some times I have to put it to the floor. That works when nothing else does. And theres a little vibration shifting into gears too. WHAT CAN _I_ DO?????

I took a 1978 727 Torque Flite, modified it to use the Dakota transfer case and over drive, Installed a manual shift valve body, a non lockup 3500 stall converter, tossed the PCM, replaced all the instruments with Auto Meter Z series, Installed an MSD ignition, an 850 CFM Holley, Holley fuel pump and regulator.

I don't have much money to spend. The truck is still under warranty but the people at the shop don't have clue what's going on. They think is my the Engine Computer. But another shop owner said it's the speed sensor. But I check the voltage the sensor is good. But I don't know to check the actually sensor. Is there anyway I can do it myself. This is what Mods I've have done.

V6 239 42RE TRANSMISSION

1. K&N AIR FILER
2. MSD 6A IGNITION
3. BOSCH SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES

There's more to be done. But the Transmission part come's first.

Generally tranny problems have to do with one of the solenoids in it...maybe the bands need adjusted?
