Can someone give me an idea of what the float position should be for the fuel pump assembly in the tank on the 92 dakota?

When you drop the pump/float assymbly in, the float should be at about 1:30-2 O'clock when standing at the rear of the truck. This is so it wont hit the sides of the tank. You cant really adjust the float up and down, unless you dend the arm. It should rest right above the bottom of the tank. With the assymbly out you should be able to place it on a flat surface to see what the float possition is. It should not hit the bottom.
