ok, I got a 98 dodge dakota, 3.9 6 cyl. And my question is, How would you go about removing the stock intake and replacing it with an open filter. I plan on getting a functional hood soon and learning to do this is the first step

If this is the kind of open air filter you're wanting, this tells you all you need to know. It helped me greatly. Doesn't take a whole lot of time to do either.
