 Subject: blown powertrain controller fuse blown

My fathers 1995 v6 automatic Dakota with 100,000 miles blew the 30 amp Powertrain controller fuse. I replaced the fuse and it worked for a day and then blew again. I checked the wiring around the distribution block and PCM and the wiring looks ok. What other things do I need to check before I buy a new PCM.

find a really good shop that tracks down electrical gremlins before doing anything else, have them fix it, they will maybe charge more per hour, BUT they will fix it right the first time, and that is cheaper then having someone just throw parts at it.
