I just bought my '02 SLT CC Dak about 2 months ago and am about to get some things done to it (removing clutch fan, buying V8 TB and cable linkage, urethane bushings/sway bar, etc.) and would REALLY like to know if there's anyone here from VA (I'm from Williamsburg) so that I can get with them and ask ?'s and look at mods, instead of going it alone. Appreciate any help I can get.

Hey fourgiven1, I'm in VA, an hour plus north of you in Fredericksburg.
You really should ask most of your questions on here though, its a way bigger knowledge base to help but if I can help let me know.

Oh I do ask loads of questions on here, but I'm talking about if I am REALLY stuck, or have a big job coming up on the Dak, I'd like to take a look at another Dak in the area that has mods I want, so I can get a feel of what I need to do and such.

Well, I have quite a few mods and its in my garage right now getting finished with the rear install.
V8 TB is a good first step you will feel the improvment. Make sure to have your intake ported out to match, I recomend enlarging the bores to 2", and if your removing the intake to do that then cut the runners down flush and if you dont mind loosing a little bottom end power and replacing it for upper HP then mill the divider down an inch or so.
Good luck, hope that helped.

It does; but don't worry I'll be asking more questions. Not right now (gotta have the cash) but I just found out that I can use my military credit card to purchase anything I want for my truck at big savings, so I gotta use it. I plan on getting a V8 TB and K&N air filter.

Believe it or not, I'm not getting most of this stuff for performance. I'm more into the saving gas money aspect of it, to be honest. The HP and torque I gain is a nice side effect, and if I need it for towing or passing in traffic that's great.

Well right this moment I do not have the dough for the mods I want to do (FIPK and at least a V8 TB, 48mm) but when I do I'll definitely let you know. Good to know there's other Dak owners around here :)
